Last night Susan asked me to watch an ABC special which featured Diane Sawyer interviewing Randy Pausch, a professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University. I've been aware of his "Last Lecture" circulating on the web and linked to it in the fall at clubupop.com I have reposted it here to invite you to take part in what could be one of the most valuable 76 minutes of your life and watch this lecture.. In 2006, Pausch was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and less than a year later, the cancer metastasized to his liver and spleen. He was given six months to live; that was eight months ago.
This "Last Lecture" on line at youtube was noticed by Hyperion books. They paid Pausch $6.7 million for his authoring a book based on the talk. The book was published this week. Now, if you are reading this, you probably have been listening to our show for the past eight years on WorldSpace and XM. We may not have personally met but we have come to know each other from our on-air and on-line interaction.... so from one friend to another...I strongly recommend you buy the book "The Last Lecture" If you don't buy the book at least watch the lecture, which I've posted. It is really transformational. Let me know your thoughts on the video..email me. tkelly@worldspace.com
