Fat Sue are a rock & roll band from South London, formed in 2004.
They have recorded four demo CDs, at Air-Edel Studios in Central London, Antenna Studios in Crystal Palace and Speaker Palace in Hackney. They also appear on a compilation CD of unsigned artists by the independent music label Little League Productions, featuring their song Yesterday's Makeup And Morning Hair, which was released in June 2007 in independent music retailers and also on the iTunes Music Store.
They appeared at the Underage Festival at Victoria Park, Hackney this summer with other acts such as The Rumble Strips, Cajun Dance Party and The Metros. They appeared on the Converse New Music stage with five other unsigned London-based artists.
The band were featured on the Gary Crowley show on BBC Radio London on 19th May 2007 as the weekly featured artist. [1] They also appeared in an interview with a live acoustic performance on BBC London News on the 5th June 2007 as their first TV appearance[2]. The interview was to promote the band and their gig at the Borderline as part of the BBC's London Calling gig on the 7th June 2007.
One of their better known songs named 'Golders Green' tells the story of how the boys met a pair of girls at the Summer Sundae festival and comments on how its more likely for a group boys from South London to meet a pair of girls from Golders Green in Leicester than in Golders Green, in the band's opinion.
